Bahasa Indonesia Instructor for Foreigners
Teaching Bahasa Indonesia for gap-year students from the United States who join the program held by Where There Be Dragon. The program is conducted by giving the students the opportunity to get to know more about Indonesia. The program runs for 3 months per term. The first 4 weeks is called a preparation period and used to introduce, and give the students any necessary informations and experience related to Indonesian cultures, including its national language, Bahasa Indonesia. The other 8 weeks is spent to learn and practice a life-survival in rural areas across Indonesia.
The Bahasa Indonesia course is done for three weeks during the preparation period. The materials is arranged for the beginner-level. The goal of the course is to make them to be able to produce & use the given words and concepts in a contextual use. The students are expected to be able to say things, to catch others' saying, and to built a contextual conversation.
